Denver’s Mile High Music Festival Delivers
Denver’s first major music festival delivered the goods this past weekend, serving up two sizzling days and two sticky sweet nights drenched in red hot live music. Though both days saw the mercury flirting with the 100 degree mark, the dry Colorado heat proved to be no deterrent – it is estimated that the brand spanking new two day festival saw roughly 90,000 live music loving folks make their way through the gates.
Not only did the Mile High Music Festival highlight some of Colorado’s finest home grown talent, such as Leftover Salmon, Meese, The Photo Atlas, and the Flobots, the eclectic, multi-generational lineup also included such heavy hitters as Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, The Dave Matthews Band, John Mayer, Michael Franti and Spearhead, Steve Winwood, The Black Crowes, moe., Rodrigo y Gabriela, Flogging Molly, and Grace Potter & The Nocturnals, to name a few.
With nearly 50 different acts taking the stage over the weekend, MoBoogie.net hooked up with photographer extraordinaire, Jay Scherer, who captured many incredible moments of the historical festival on film.
